Katie Salazar is a singer/song writer from El Paso, Tx. covering her own version of Ed Sheeran’s Supermarket Flowers. Shot in El Paso, White Sands National Monument, and probably ruined a few filters due to sand getting in EVERYTHING. This is one of my favorite projects.
Atomic Powder Coating. Noah allowed me to go in and watch the process of what exactly is powder coating. How you start with piece of steel. How you get from a chunky slab of steel to a beautifully sprayed, tough, long lasting work of art.
Overspray is not a joke. The amount of powder that gets in your nostrils, your eyes, my camera gear, its just like sand but it also turns out to be my favorite type of work to shoot.

I believe…I was probably flying drones for just about a month. Shot with the DJI Mavic Pro, some ND filters, and almost losing the bird in the water. There is a particular shot where it’s going over water and comes within about a foot of a sailing mast. Anxiety value when it came into frame was VERY high.
I really believe drones give you a 3rd view of the world. You don’t get to see your environment from this point of view and sometimes its just incredibly beautiful.
My favorite drone film, shot in U.S. Virgin Islands. Chasing boats, reptiles, and clear blue water beaches. I actually didn’t want to put this out back then but decided against that sentiment.
