The Podcase - What's in the Peripheral Bag?
Everything in the Peripheral Bag
Strictly the essentials to work solo with just the Zoom H6e
The case includes all of the following items:
Various Cables
A 10mah External Battery - generic one in the bag
The case is from Incase - I don’t believe they make it anymore so I linked something similar that isn’t crazy expensive.

The Fujifilm X70 - Pocketable Aesthetic's
The Fujifilm X70 is one of Fuji’s (not forgotten) x100 Alternatives from 2016. It is more compact and pocketable than the x100 series of cameras.
The FujiFilm X70
Small, Powerful, Portable
I received the X70 from a friend. Totally at random. I was just talking to him in the group chats about how I was looking for something that was going to compliment my full size X-T3/4 cameras. Then I get to my door one day and theres a box sitting on my doorstep with a note.
I immediately added my own touch to it. I put some gaff tape on the bottom, sharpied some of the nicks and scratches, and got a Red “X” hot shoe cover for it as well as a generic lens cap.
Photographically its perfect. I am not even worrying about shooting RAW with it. Everything is straight out of camera. It focus’s fine, the Kodak Color Negative recipe I think right now is my favorite. I love that I can just turn it on, shoot what I saw, and put it back in my bag. It doesn’t look like a professional camera, its not huge and bulky. As for the cons, well its a bit slow. It does do face detect. Its an 18mm lens or 18.5, so yes its a bit wide but I think that that particular focal length is just it. I can crop in after the fact or just zoom with my feet.
The video on it is ok. Like I said nothing great. But I took it to a Jim Ward show and mostly shot stills. I got this great film vibe when the night got later and light started to leave.
But I’m not in it for the video capabilities. Its a plus but I don’t think I’ll be using that often. I have 3 color recipes set up into it and a black and white. I think for July I will attempt to shoot mostly black and white. I want to see how those images come out and whether I should get the filter thread for it and a red filter.
Is it worth it in 2024 with the likes of the X100V and X100VI? Most definitely. This tiny little camera is a powerhouse of a point and shoot. It will still cost from what I seen over that $700 mark but I think it is worth it. There is no question the image quality that comes out of this is great. I love that it slows you down. It makes you shoot better. This tiny little thing can help make you a better photographer.
My final thoughts on this camera. If you can score one for close to its original listing $700 get it. I don’t think I have seen any under $900. It’s crazy that this old camera can fetch that being almost 10 years old. But I love it. I am grateful to have received it from a friend. This camera has not left my bag since getting it. Get one. Take it with you. But most importantly…just take pictures.

ILM - TLDR
ILM, or Industrial Light & Magic, revolutionized the film industry with its groundbreaking visual effects. It was founded by George Lucas in 1975 to create the special effects for Star Wars, and it has since then continued to innovate and push the boundaries of what's possible in film. From the stunning space battles in Star Wars to the lifelike dinosaurs in Jurassic Park, ILM's work has forever changed the way movies are made.
How ILM Continued to Transform Cinema
Beyond Star Wars and Jurassic Park, ILM continued to pioneer new technologies and techniques that have become integral to modern filmmaking. It developed the first fully CGI character, the pseudopod in "The Abyss", and the first photorealistic CGI character, "Terminator 2's" T-1000.
Moreover, ILM's work on "Forrest Gump" demonstrated the power of visual effects for storytelling, not just spectacle. They seamlessly integrated Tom Hanks into historical footage, creating an illusion that was crucial for the narrative.
ILM was also a key player in the development of motion capture technology, transforming the way characters are brought to life in films such as "Avatar" and "The Avengers".
Through its creativity and technical prowess, ILM has not only changed the way movies look, but also how stories are told in cinema, demonstrating the potential of visual effects as a powerful storytelling tool.
Beyond transforming the cinema industry, ILM, through its work on Star Wars, has had a profound impact on pop culture. Star Wars has permeated every aspect of our society, inspiring a devoted fanbase that spans across generations. It has spawned countless merchandise, from toys and clothing to video games and comic books. The franchise's catchphrases and iconic characters have become ingrained in our collective consciousness, demonstrating the enduring power and influence of this cinematic phenomenon. The fandom around Star Wars is a testament to ILM's groundbreaking work, and their ability to create a universe that continues to captivate audiences worldwide.
The Legacy of Star Wars
The cultural impact of Star Wars reaches far beyond the sphere of cinema. Its legacy is seen in every corner of popular culture. From inspiring countless other sci-fi movies and TV shows to influencing the design of real-world technology, the franchise's reach is far and wide.
Moreover, Star Wars has fostered a sense of community among its fans. The passion of these fans is seen in the vast array of fan-made content, cosplay, conventions, and fan theories. It has inspired creativity, bringing together people from all walks of life to share in their love for this galaxy far, far away.
The legacy of Star Wars is also seen in the way it has shaped our cultural lexicon. Phrases like "May the Force be with you" and "I am your father" are instantly recognizable, even to those who haven't seen the films. The franchise's iconography, such as Darth Vader's helmet or the design of the lightsaber, have become symbols in their own right.
The enduring legacy of Star Wars is a testament to the imagination and innovation of George Lucas and the team at ILM. It's a prime example of how a movie can go beyond its medium, becoming an integral part of our cultural landscape. Star Wars is more than just a film franchise - it's a phenomenon that continues to inspire and captivate audiences around the world.
If you guessed we would come back and record an episode on the 25th anniversary of Star Wars Episode 1, you would have been wrong. We just so happened to get inspired to come back and do this show again. For the love of movies, tv, and music.
